About Jack

Hi! I'm a Computer Scientist studying at The University of Sheffield. I love to make cool projects and apply my skills wherever I can.

Growing up I always enjoyed programming and learning about as broad of a range of topics as I can. I found my fascination lies in topics like 3D graphics, AI and Full-Stack development.

I enjoy rock climbing and judo in my spare time, competing whenever I can. One of my most rewarding hobbies has to be hitchhiking, something I try to do a few times a year.

Experience

Missions Engineer

2023-2024 / Project Falcon

Project Falcon developed a fixed wing quadcopter to compete in the IMechE competition.
The missions team developed the FGCS using node.js and python, which helped monitor the drone, record and display data, as well as receive real world data.

Engineering You're Hired

2025 / University of Sheffield

As part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, we developed and proposed a solution to water pipe repair using swarm robotics. - After our presentation, our team placed first out of 240 teams in our university.
I enjoyed providing my expertise, such as creating a live swarm simulation.
